Happy Hearts goal is to aid, encourage, and offer opportunities for fellowship
for all members 55 and older. Our monthly covered dish luncheons held the
first Friday of each month at 12 noon in Trinity Hall, feature delicious food and
interesting speakers. Our senior council, led by Myrtle and Jerry Allen, oversees
all our activities, including theater performances, day trips, a monthly book club,
and simple home repairs. Our main service project is building and distributing
wooden toys for needy children at Christmas. For more information you can

Open
Door Coffee House
The Open Door Coffee House
was established by several musically inclined
members of the Open Door Sunday School Class at Trinity United
Methodist Church. The mission of the coffeehouse is to support local
charities while providing quality entertainment in a family-friendly setting.
Immediately after each show, we make a fixed donation to that month's
charity. In August, we have a thank you party and distribute the remaining
funds from the year equally among that season's charities. Our season
runs from October to July. We invite you to visit our web site for the most

For the past 11 years the Open Door Coffee House has been, with the support of Trinity Church and staff, the ministry outreach project of the Open Door Sunday School Class. Funds raised at the coffee house are used to support local organizations and ministries which include Mission Arlington, The Women’s Shelter, Arlington Urban Ministries, and Family Pathfinders to name just a few. The coffee house is run almost entirely by class members (and several former members).
The secondary goal of the coffee house is to provide a family friendly venue for the enjoyment of acoustic music which also occasionally provides an opportunity for some who have never been in a church to get a glimpse of Trinity.
The IDTA group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Noon for a
luncheon and fellowship in Rooms 203-205 at Trinity. This Senior citizen
group has a great time each month sharing joys and concerns and playing
some sort of game after lunch. You're invited to bring a covered dish and
join the fun!
